Academic Linkage with Doncaster College, UK

VLCC Institutes has entered into an Academic Link up with Doncaster College, UK, for upward progression for higher studies for the students passing out of VLCC Institutes.
Doncaster College is the largest provider of further education in South Yorkshire in the UK and home to over 20,000 students and some of the best educational facilities in the UK including state-of-the-art IT facilities, a 100-seat lecture theatre, a 200-seat drama studio, state of the art Learning Resource Centre and a beauty salon packed with a hairdresser, nail bar, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and dry flotation bed, etc.
Doncaster College would offer a one year Top Up programme to City & Guilds’ qualified students of VLCC Institutes at the College in the UK under work and learn programme.
This would provide students the opportunities of learning by using the state of the art resources at the College as well as exposure of working in the UK industry.
City & Guilds, UK
Affiliated to the prestigious City & Guilds of UK, the Institute offers three broad categories of courses ‑ Beauty / Health & Nutrition / Management. The VLCC Institute is the only dedicated training facility for vocational beauty courses that has no attached Client Service Parlour or Slimming Centre.
While City and Guilds does provide for upto Level 3 Skills Acquisitions in countries outside of UK, and in India, this was being made available to Beauty Students through the VLCC Institutes, there always were students who wanted to pursue higher level skills acquisitions, ie Level 4 and beyond, but did not have an opportunity to do so. This Academic Linkage with Doncaster College would provide the same to the students now.

VLCC Institutes in collaboration with Cengage Learning of US, is publishing and making available Beauty Books – Textbooks and General Purpose Trade Books – in India.
Cengage Learning is US based publisher of books and has more than 90% share of the Beauty Books Market in the US. Cengage owns brands like : Thomson Learning, Miladys of US and Habia of UK.
The books being launched are based on international syllabus for cosmetology, beauty therapy, hair designing and do follow International Vocational Qulaifications ( IVQ’s )
The first book being unveiled on the 12th of July 2008, is the Standard Textbook of Cosmetology – which is the main foundation book for all the students of cosmetology the world over.
There are more books in the planning : Long Hair Dressing – part 1 and part 2, Level 2 Beauty Therapy, Make Up Books etc.
